Interventional Urology Endoscopy

Among the surgical and minimally invasive procedures performed by Dr. Ahmed El-Shal (Assistant Professor of Kidney and Urological Endoscopy, and Consultant of Laser Urological Surgery and Advanced Prostate Surgery at the Mansoura University Urology and Nephrology Center) are Endo-Urological Procedures, which are performed through the natural openings of the urinary tract. These procedures include: ◀️ Urethroscopy – used for the diagnosis and treatment of urethral strictures and obstructions. ◀️ Cystoscopy – used for minimally invasive resection of bladder tumors, removal of bladder stones, and placement of ureteral stents in the lower ureter to relieve urinary obstruction. ◀️ Ureteroscopy – used for the removal of ureteric stones, treatment of ureteral strictures, and diagnosis of tumors of the ureter and renal pelvis. ◀️ Nephroscopy – used for the removal of kidney stones of all types, sizes, and locations.
